It has been raining every single day this week, and it just too hard to go anywhere. Sucks.
I really wanted to go to Ritual today (about 15 minutes walk from my place) to get a bag of freshly roasted coffee, but decided to try a different roaster instead. My local Wholefoods sells coffee from every SF roaster imaginable (except Blue Bottle) and it's a block and a half away.
So I chose De La Paz. I haven't had their coffee in a while. Only time I had their coffee was last year at Stable Cafe. I'm not even sure if they still serve De La Paz. I need to revisit soon.
I bought "Mission Blend," because the description said it's light and chocolatey. It's a blend of beans from Sumatra, Guatemala, and Peru.
I used chemex (small). The coffee was super sweet, nutty and milk chocolate finish. Nice citrus explosion in the mouth. I bet it will be great brewed in french press too. Yum!
